Skype Spanish lessons

This course is for those students that want to start their learning of Spanish or have some knowledge about it. The course has 10 didactic units composed by:

  • COMMUNICATION: this session deals with the communicative functions of the language.

  • LEARNING: this session deals with the formal aspect of the language, such as grammar, vocabulary, culture,etc.

  • REINFORCEMENT: the student can reinforce the concepts by means of interactive activity.

    OBJECTIVES OF THE COURSE

  • To develop the communicative skills.

  • To acquire the vocabulary and use it in communicative contexts.

  • To learn the formal aspects of the language.

  • To acquire the cultural aspects, to value and compare them with the own culture.

  • To interact with the teacher in  oral and written activities.

CONTENTS OF THE COURSE

Unit 1

  • The spelling.

  • The article.

  • The noun genre.

  • Personal pronouns.

  • Verb tener,ser, llamarse and vivir.

  • Introductions.

  • Nationalities and personal details.

  • Los números de 0-100.Vocabulary: professions.

  • Culture: Spanish surnames.

Unit 2

  • Singular and plural nouns.

  • Regular present.

  • The negative form.

  • Tell the time.

  • Vocabulario: el aula.

  • Culture: the Spanish timetable.

Unit 3

  • Irregular present.

  • Interrogative words.

  • Ser/estar (morphology).

  • Possessive adjectives and pronouns.

  • Vocabulary: the family.

Unit 4

  • Spatial localization.

  • Hay/estar.

  • Quantifiers

  • To describe a house.

  • Vocabulary: the house.

  • Ordinal numbers.

  • Numbers from 100 to 999.

Unit 5

  • Demonstrative adjectives and pronouns.

  • Comparison.

  • The superlative form.

  • Physical description.

  • Physical and personality description words, clothes, colours and shops.

Unit 6

  • DC and IC pronouns.

  • Estar+ gerund/seguir+ gerund.

  • The weather.

  • Expresiones: “Hace + muy/ mucho+ adjetivo/ sustantivo”.

  • Preposition EN.

Unit 7

  • Reflexive verbs.

  • Frequency.

  • Expressing habits.

  • Daily routines.

  • Present tense review.

  • Vocabulary: parts of the day, months, seasons and days of the week.

Unit 8

  • Pronominal verbs.

  • Ser/estar uses.

  • Pretérito perfecto.

  • Tener que.

  • To talk about recent past events.

  • Likes,emotions,etc.

  • Vocabulary: hobbies,health and the parts of the body.

Unit 9

  • Assertive imperative.

  • Imperative of reflexive verbs.

  • Phrasal verbs: Hay que/tener que.

  • To cook a recipe.

  • Vocabulary: cooking, food.

  • Culture: The mediterranean diet.

Unit 10

  • Review lesson.
