Skype Spanish lessons

This course is designed for those students that have some basic knowledge of Spanish. The course consists of 10 didactic units composed by:

COMMUNICATION: the communicative functions are presented.

LEARNING: the formal aspects of the language are taught.

REINFORCEMENT: the student can self-evaluate and reinforce the contents with interactive activities.


- To develop the communicative skills (speaking, writing, reading and listening).

- To acquire the vocabulary of the course and use it in communicative contexts.

- To learn the formal aspects of the language.

- To interact with the teacher  in communicative written and oral activities.


Unit 1

Systematization of the indicative present tense.

Text coherence links: y, pero, es decir...

Relative clauses: QUE, DONDE.

Discourse organizers.

To talk about hobbies.

Vocabulary: leisure time.

Unit 2

Contrast SER/ESTAR.

Movement verbs with prepositions (a, de, en).

Gestures and greetings in Spain.

Telephone conversation.

To identify  and define people and things.

Unit 3

Pretérito indefinido (morphology).

Phrasal verbs.

To talk about actions in the past.

Vocabulary: travelling.

Unit 4

Contrast pretérito perfecto/pretérito indefinido.

Indefinite pronouns.

To relate different past events.

Unit 5

Expresions with Qué + noun + adjective!

Short form of some adjectives.

Comparative and superlative forms.

Hacer cumplidos. To express surprise, happyness and boredom.

The Spanish wedding.

Unit 6

Pretérito imperfecto.

Pretérito imperfecto uses.

Contrast present/p. imperfecto tenses.

Vocabulary: housework.

To talk about habits  in the past.

To describe actions, people and things in the past.

Unit 7

Contraste p. indefinido/ p. imperfecto.Estar (imperfecto)+ gerund.


To tell tales using the past.

To talk about past events and its contexts.

Unit 8

Contrast p.imperfecto/indefinido/perfecto.

Antes de/después de/hace/desde hace and verb DURAR.

To talk about past.

Unit 9

The future.

Other forms to express future.

To say hypothesis and predictions.


Unit 10

Systematization of assertive imperative.

Present subjunctive tense.

Negative imperative.

To give orders, instructions and advices.

To ask for and give permission.
